We are very proud of our park and we strive to manage it for the mutual benefit of the holiday home user and the environment. This achievement has been recognised, as we have been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award from 2004 to date.
High Close has been under the same ownership since 1976 and many of our holiday home owners have been here a very long time, the longest in their 40th year on the Park. As all our lodges are privately owned and we do not have touring vans or holiday homes available to rent at High Close, everyone here benefits from the security of knowing who is who and this means good security and peace of mind when you have a holiday home here.
There is wide variety of wildlife on the Park and we encourage lodge owners to join in with putting up bird and squirrel feeders which brings the wildlife close to the holiday homes. Many owners are keen bird watchers, nature lovers and photographers and they all enjoy the benefit of the natural surroundings.
We have a small team of very friendly and approachable staff who are always happy to help out in any way possible. This gives you the extra reassurance that if anything needs doing to your holiday home when you're not here, we can be depended upon to take care of things for you. Another benefit to not letting or sub-letting the homes on the park is that out staff get to know you and so the service we offer always has that extra personal touch.
Our holiday home park is special because of it's setting and the thoughtful, well planned way that plots for the homes are designed. The environment plays a huge part in deciding where a holiday home is placed and this means that each plot and each holiday home is unique and you can play a big part in deciding where you would like your lodge to be situated. We have a crystal clear stream running along the edge of the Park and many of the holiday homes have dramatic views over the stream. Others are placed higher up to enjoy a wider perspective of the stunning Lake District landscapes surrounding us and others are tucked away quietly in amongst the trees. Coming to view the Park is highly recommended, as we offer such a unique holiday home environment and the tranquil setting needs to be experienced to appreciate just what a special place High Close is.
